High Wycombe, UK — Aegis Software, a global provider of Manufacturing Execution Software (MES), announced today their leading participation in the UK debut of the IPC Connected Factory Exchange (CFX) IIoT standard, featuring the world’s first CFX enabled Industry 4.0 Smart Factory live production line, at the WNIE Live show in Birmingham, UK, at Stand E57 in Hall 1.
What’s New in Electronics Live marks the UK debut of the IPC Connected Factory eXchange (CFX) IIoT experience in a live manufacturing demo. Featuring also complementary technology “The Hermes Standard”, now also an official IPC standard, and with support from the MTC (Manufacturing Technology Centre), this interactive experience showcases global equipment suppliers working together to deliver real Smart Factory benefits. This event is the kick-off for a series of Industry 4.0 technology events by this leading team of experts. A series of forward-thinking roundtables, presentations and discussion groups will be held to discuss and address challenges that manufacturing operations are experiencing along the journey of digitalization towards Industry 4.0.
Aegis shows how FactoryLogix orchestrates multiple Industry 4.0 values by providing the central point of authority for critical factory execution management, the nucleus of the Smart Factory, being inclusive and supportive of multiple machine vendors and internally developed IT team solutions.
As with previous CFX demos, straightforward metrics and analytic reports streamed live from machines across the entire show-floor into a cloud server provided as a courtesy to the industry for this demo by Aegis Software are made available to every show visitor through their mobile devices at this event by simply reading a QR code. In this global live manufacturing debut however, additional CFX data will be exchanged between multiple machine vendors on the live production line, showing how CFX data enables Industry 4.0 closed-loop feedback systems and critical decision-making support using data generated by equipment during actual operation. Each machine vendor will demonstrate and explain the values that CFX data brings. For visitors, this brings the first opportunity to experience at a line level, how the IPC CFX standard is working, enabling Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory solutions.
Aegis’ FactoryLogix software is unique in respect of readiness for CFX and is critical to fast-track the assembly manufacturing industry towards the realization of Industry 4.0. Aegis shows how FactoryLogix orchestrates multiple Industry 4.0 values by providing the central point of authority for critical factory execution management, the nucleus of the Smart Factory, being inclusive and supportive of multiple machine vendors and internally developed IT team solutions. Industry 4.0 specific solutions and topics will be demonstrated including manufacturing engineering for the flexible factory, Lean material management, adaptive planning, advanced quality management, and system integration with, for example, ERP. Aegis experts in Industry 4.0 for business and strategy will be available for one-on-one discussions and demonstration of all of these topics at the Aegis booth, E57, Hall 1.
