PHILADELPHIA, PA – Aegis Industrial Software Corporation, the leader in Manufacturing Information Management Systems, today announced a greater than 100% increase in sales revenue for the first half of 2005 as compared to the same period in the prior year. This represents record performance in terms of both total revenue and percentage increase within the comparative period.
Commenting on the results, Jason Spera, CEO of Aegis, said, “Aegis’ record sales were driven primarily by a marked increase in demand for our enterprise-level, i-Series products supporting the MES, traceability, and materials control requirements of the market. These systems now account for over 60% of overall revenues. We are further gratified to see a healthy balance of existing customers expanding their deployment scope as well as adding new modules to their Aegis systems, and new customers adopting the enterprise solution at the initial sale.”
We see the first-half 2005 performance, in addition to our increasingly strong market share in the stringent medical and military manufacturing applications, as market recognition of the unique Aegis technology and services offering.
"With real-time data connections to virtually all equipment sets, and a single platform spanning NPI and the entire factory floor information challenge from kit to test to final integration, Aegis simply offers the greatest depth and scope of information management available from a single vendor," said Bob Miklosey, Aegis VP of Product Management. "We see the first-half 2005 performance, in addition to our increasingly strong market share in the stringent medical and military manufacturing applications, as market recognition of the unique Aegis technology and services offering."
During the period, Aegis added 24 new customers selecting enterprise-level deployments to its global base of over 500 customers. In addition to enterprise customer wins, the period also saw more than 50 follow-on and new NPI tool orders as well as existing customer migrations into expanded functionality or additional licensing quantities.
