Electronics Manufacturer

A grand “Honor Tone – Aegis MES Kickoff Meeting” was held on September 5th 2016 at Honor Tone’s Daya Bay Factory, located in Huizhou, China. Aegis FactoryLogix will be fully implemented in both Honor Tone’s Daya Bay and DanShui facilities to bring true data visibility and effective process control across all their production sites.

Honor Tone Limited is a subsidiary of Valuetronics Holding Limited based in Hong Kong, an integrated electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, offering a competitive and broad combination of design, engineering, and manufacturing services. With the growth and success of the company, the current local MES system is no longer able to meet Honor Tone’s requirement for process control, quality tracing, and data analysis. Honor Tone set out to look for a new professional MES at the end of 2015, and eventually selected Aegis Software as their new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) provider after 10 months of thorough and careful evaluation and comparison.

When talking about the new project at the kickoff meeting, Honor Tone’s MES project manager Brian Lo commented: “By implementation Aegis MES FactoryLogix, we would like to integrate the system into every aspect of our manufacturing operations, including new products introduction (NPI), material logistics, incoming material inspection, production scheduling, process control, and data analysis. Honor Tone expects to improve overall management levels by achieving quality improvement and efficiency enhancement through true data transparency and effective process control through the implementation of Aegis MES Software.”

Aegis extensive range of xLink adapters can be connected to almost all leading machines and transform real-time data into an Aegis standard format for further data management and traceability usage. The system also enables Honor Tone to achieve electronic product route enforcement including inspection and test products area, as well as out-of-route steps such as repair and rework stations. Honor Tone’s operators and management will also greatly benefit   from the standard chart and report templates and real-time dashboards the system provides, resulting in fast and efficient access to all key performance indicators.

Honor Tone expects to improve overall management levels by achieving quality improvement and efficiency enhancement through true data transparency and effective process control through the implementation of Aegis MES Software.

Meanwhile, the new Logistics module in FactoryLogix R3 version will bring more new and powerful features to Honor Tone, such as materials receiving, production planning, stockroom management, part replenish and re-order, special material handling, and sampling support for materials and production.

KK Chow, one of the founders of the group and executive director of Honor Tone states “Honor Tone has very high expectations for the full implementation of the Aegis FactoryLogix throughout our factories. We are looking forward to the opportunity to become the leader in our industry and achieving operational excellence through the implementation of Aegis MES Software.”

Honor Tone’s principle business segments ranging from consumer electronics (CE) products to industrial and commercial electronics (ICE) products covering printers, temperature sensing devices, communication products, auto products, and medical equipment. As part of their value-added equation, Honor Tone’s quality systems also meet the requirements of international standards such as ISO9001:2008, TL9000, ISO14001:2004, ISO13485, TS16949 and European RoHS Certification.
